I call Shenanigans on Trump.

Heading into every weekend, the Orange One says there's a deal so there isn't a pre-weekend sell-off in the markets.  Otherwise, investors may not want to carry-over risk (investments) through the weekend ... when they can't sell because the markets are closed.

Media psychologists have labeled Trump as a "fabulist":

A fabulist is someone who invents or writes fables, or a person who tells elaborate, fabricated stories and lies. The term spans from the creators of ancient moral tales to contemporary literary writers and individuals known for deceit.

Did any civilian in the Trump White House do their homework and study for the war with Iran?

Or did they just get amped on energy drinks and start dropping bombs?

The Iranian regime has never acted on good faith. It’s always the same play: stall, buy time, realign.

We should not release assets or give sanctions relief until we have full access to and control of their nuclear material.

It takes approximately 30,000 rail tank cars to replace the volume of a single supertanker, costs roughly $0.02/ton/mile compared to $0.20/ton/mile for rail.

Didn't Truman choose to end the war by securing Japan's unconditional surrender?
Read your history.  What caused the surrender?

Option 1:  Invade the country with +million troops, forcing surrender
Option 2:  Drop a nuclear warhead(s) on country, forcing surrender
Option 3:  Blockade and isolate the country so it would be starved of food and resources, forcing surrender
Option 4:  Negotiate after extensive bombing, which may or may not work

Trump has similar choices and the first 3 have significant downsides

I sailed opined:
"Similar to what Truman faced against Japan.
He had multiple options and chose one that ended the war."

And I will go off the deep end and prognosticate that if we wish a similar unconditional surrender by iran, then we'll have no choice but to use similar weaponry against them, as well.

Point out to me where I'm wrong, and how such a surrender could be achieved otherwise.

When Truman was done with Japan, Emperor worship ended, they were disarmed - it was an unconditional surrender.

47, in contrast, will be leaving the Mad Mullahs and it's IRGC rule intact, no gain there. Since the Strait was open before 47 attacked, no gain there. The nuclear material may be recovered and disposed of - a gain. That's it. The limited nuclear gain will be immediately recovered once 47 is gone. The regime will then be free to murder as many Persians as they please. And make as many nukes as they want.

And of course, Iran will be hailed as a great power since the regime remained intact - they survived the attack of the Great Satan!

Islam will redouble its efforts to conquer, once again, the entire Western world and enter a 2nd Dark Age. The Future will only know 47 as the man who helped Islam conquer the world - if he's not forgotten entirely.

Ok, so which of the other 3 options do you believe are correct to pursue?

Are you advocating for the Truman option?

So, Truman forced a total, unconditional surrender on Japan, downside be damned.  Truman doesn't get doesn't get enough credit, IMHO.

The Japanese only surrendered after the Soviets defeated their million man army in Manchuria.  Faced with the options of surrendering to the US or Josef Stalin, the Japanese chose the US.

We have Uncle Joe Stalin to thank for the surrender of Japan.

Without the Soviet invasion of Manchuria, the Japanese would have waited out the US because they knew the US could not stomach the casualties required to invade and subdue Japan.  It's possible that the Japanese were willing to risk the death of most of their population to repel a US invasion.  The Japanese certainly had no regard for life or humanity.

All these supposed ceasefires, agreements, non-agreements, delays  .... who know what the heck is really going on.

Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Trump Situation Room meeting on Iran lasted roughly two hours, no formal announcement yet made

President Donald Trump’s Situation Room meeting on Iran concluded Friday after approximately two hours, according to a White House official.

“The Situation Room meeting has concluded and lasted approximately two hours,” the official told Fox News. “President Trump will only make a deal that is good for America and satisfies his redlines. Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon.”

Trump earlier said he was heading to the Situation Room to make a “final determination” on next steps involving Iran and the Strait of Hormuz.

The White House declared a photo and travel lid at approximately 6:14 p.m. ET.

Fox News' Patrick Ward contributed to this reporting.

Iran says no date set yet for Khamenei ceremony nearly 3 months after killing

Iran is still preparing a large public ceremony for slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei nearly three months after he was killed in a Feb. 28 airstrike, though officials say no date has been finalized yet, according to reporting from Iran International.

Mohsen Mahmoudi, head of Tehran’s Islamic Propagation Coordination Council, said authorities are planning a “magnificent” memorial event expected to draw “tens of millions” of people, according to Iran International.

Khamenei was killed in an airstrike that sparked a 38-day war involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

So if the Russians were responsible for Japan's surrender, why do you believe Truman dropped two nuclear devices on Japan and why did LeMay devastate Tokyo and other cities?
Did Truman simply hate to see them live?
