The right to be free was endowed by our Creator and is not granted at the whim and will of mere mortals in government or elsewhere. But having a right doesn’t mean anything unless you can defend that right, unless you can protect that right from people who would take it away from you. The people of Iran have a God-given right to be free and look at them. They live or die at the whim of a bunch of psychotic primitives who pack heat and have ensured that they can’t. Freedom without firepower is just words...

In America, we are free because We the People maintain the ability to use violence against those who would suppress us. Yeah, the government has cops and an Army. That’s about 2 million or 3 million people who can be put on the street to suppress us, should the government choose to do so. But it’s outnumbered by about 30 to one by Americans with a rifle in their closet...

Every time I think of selling all but a couple of my weapons, I think of the leftists on social media who constantly threaten to kill me (not me personally, but conservatives and anyone they perceive as a Trump supporter). Then I think, what the heck, I still may need even that little .22 rifle. So whether it's a trantifa or a middle eastern Muslim, I'll be a-waitin'.

Any time someone threatens me (or a member of my family) with injury or death, I take that at face value.
If they don't mean it, don't say it, and they will have a better day.

I am a Never-Trumper and in the same boat. Christian and Conservative fits most folks here (with a few exceptions)... and they will be hunted from all sides extended even beyond Muslims, even from those that claim to be "Christian" (seeing it already with Texas fake Christian running for office).

You may have multiple weapons, but at the end of the day, you can only fire one weapon at a time.  The only advantage would be to have them all loaded and ready to go and greet those coming through your door accordingly.

Well even one weapon with 100 - 30 round mags if shot fast will overheat around 200 rounds (start burn out), so yes, multiple guns with hope you have someone to help you is about all you can wish for. Note: 22lr rifles will last longer than some other rounds...

 If you have one gun and plan to lay down a lot of lead, have a 5 gallon bucket of water to cool the barrel between rounds. Military have resorted to even urinating on barrels to cool them down somewhat.

You are very correct in pointing out multiple guns loaded and ready could be advantageous, especially if you don't have a lot of magazines to keep ready. That 5 round  pump shotgun could give you all the time needed for someone to reload a fresh magazine... That 13y/o grandson/granddaughter could be a life saver with just reloading magazines to half capacity and sliding them to ya (some mags get hard to reload fully).

Another advantage to multiple guns is if family comes in dark days and don't have weapons... Extra guns get them in the fight. Extra guns can be used to trade for other items.
