I suppose it depends on what is a typical mortgage and electric bill is in W. Virginia?

There are times when our water bill exceeds our electric bill.  It all depends on what is relative to the area.

Wallets are stretched that's for sure, but I'm already starting to see gas prices coming down.

I don't anticipate that groceries will ever come down.  Once they go up typically they stay up; I can't ever remember when the cost of groceries took a significant decrease in price.

I suspect most West Virginians' mortgage payments are pretty low, considering how relatively inexpensive real estate has been in the state in recent decades.

Joe Manchin was the deciding vote to force upon us Biden's renewal debacle.
He sold out his fellow citizens.

Yeppers; paying off your mortgage before you retire is a definite must.

The reasons West Virginians voted for Trump have nothing to do with utility bills. Trust me on this, I've lived in the state for 30 years, have run for the Legislature,  and was a longtime officer in the county Republican party.

I have people back East tell me what's what in Arizona a lot on X.  We're such children, I guess.  I never ran for Legislature, though I did a Term as 1st Vice Chair of my County GOP.

A mortgage on a doublewide can't be much, so the fact that an electric bill is more, isn't a surprise.

The reason why Trump won was people wanted improvement from the Biden years, and they ain't getting it so far.

These people are getting $700-$900 a month electric bills even though their usage has not increased.  It's a clear result of Obama's "war on coal," Biden's "Green New Deal," and the wholesale destruction of coal-fired power plants through the state and region-at-large.

He came to WV and supported the coal industry, which Biden and the climate changers wanted to destroy.
That, patriotism, and cracking down on illegal immigration, appealed to the voters of my state.
