Funnily enough ChromeOS is based on linux I believe. I'd be open minded to it but I'd miss my Steam games.

This is not ChromeOS. This is ChromeOS Flex. Different.
No apps. Can't get to Google Play. No interaction with Google Assistant. Won't run Windows apps.
