The intersection of international crime and domestic immigration policy has reached a flashpoint in New England, according to a recent announcement by federal authorities.
Over the past thirty days, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston has executed a series of arrests involving five illegal aliens wanted for murder in their respective home countries.
These individuals, some of whom were the subjects of active Interpol Red Notices, highlight a significant challenge facing federal law enforcement: the reality of foreign fugitives successfully embedding themselves within U.S. communities after bypassing border security measures.
Breaking into the United States unlawfully, the fugitives reportedly managed to avoid the biometric and biographical screenings that occur at legal ports of entry.
