It's never made much sense to me why there would be a ban on military bases.

Good. It is insanity to require our fighting forces to be disarmed at home because some leftist wets themselves at the sight of a pistol. Meanwhile the troops go to work with tanks, bombers, and machine guns.  *****rollingeyes*****
