Democrats are out there spinning this morning’s Senate vote as some huge victory, bragging that they forced Republicans to pass a bill funding most of DHS while deliberately leaving out ICE and parts of Customs and Border Protection.
Senate Republicans went along with it in an overnight session, funding TSA, the Coast Guard, and other agencies but skipping the very parts that actually enforce our borders. The bill now heads to the House, but the messaging from the left is loud and clear: “No blank check for ICE.”
