As was suggested, Iran’s leadership has splintered as is typical when the top leadership is gone.

The old revolutionary fundamentalist leadership was taken out and you have some who want to make a deal and then the IRGC which should not be confused with the mullahs — they are just plain old military dictators who have the guns and think they will be thrown overboard in any deal.

They either have to preserve some power in a deal or be decisively defeated. Likelihood is that that there will be another round of fighting here but nothing is certain. They know they can only strike out at the world economy but face certain defeat with no air cover if the president goes all out here.

The media remains in its negative spin all the time and the Europeans continue to show their worthlessness as allies in a battle against Iran.

Don’t take anything the president takes at face value as disinformation is a key strategy at defeating Iran. But the basic strategy remains, continue to step up economic and military pressure until they buckle one way or another.  And the Schizophrenia of Iran now is just another phase in the collapse of the regime that still can’t turn on the Internet for fear of real communications and continues to suppress the will of its people with heinous acts of mass executions on the streets and in the gallows.

If they are truly close to getting a working nuclear weapon the clock is still ticking towards that end. And they are likely willing to suffer a lot of destruction to buy enough time to complete it. They shouldn't be given more time for that very reason. Leaving isn't an option.

🇮🇷 An unspeakable atrocity has just come to light. The whole world needs to know what is happening under these internet blackouts.

During the January massacre, IRGC demons shot and murdered Saleheh Akbari in front of her husband Ahmad Khodaei, inside their home.

After this, the regime subjected Ahmad to months of endless torment, threatening him to keep his mouth shut and even arresting him for visiting his wife's grave.

Ahmad took his daughter to her grandparents, because she kept asking for her mom and it broke him inside.

The regime began fabricating crimes against him and were planning to torture him for the rest of time. They refused to even let him grieve in peace.

The pain became too much to bear, and Ahmad has according to reports taken his own life, after announcing his intentions.

It has been 47 years of these barbaric atrocities happening every single day.

This is Iran under islamic occupation.

It was never about a nuclear deal or sanctions.

Notice what the IRGC is doing here.  First, they are revealing what is most important to them, i.e. the US stop bombing them and stop blocking their ports.  Then they demand the US give them that concession for free (i.e. they give up nothing in return), while they continue to delay.  In the meantime, they continue their threat to block shipping through the strait.

I say screw them.  If having their ports opened back up is what they are demanding, then that is the last thing we should ever do.  Same goes for the bombing.

Something to watch. An important caveat is Iran now lacks reactor fuel manufacturing capabilities after the June strikes on Esfahan. Who would dilute and manufacture fuel from the enriched uranium stockpiles?

It would be a grave mistake for the U.S. to cave on a permanent ban on enrichment — down further from 20 years in this report — leaving the problem to the next generation, who might not prioritize lengthening a ban.

In addition, if Iran can throughout the moratorium maintain centrifuge stockpiles, manufacturing capabilities, and enrichment plants — such as potentially Pickaxe Mtn — it could simply wait out Trump’s term, break the deal, and resume enrichment.

All of these assets must be verifiably and permanently dismantled, alongside a full-access, long-term @iaeaorg investigation, to ensure Iran’s nuclear weapons program is fully accounted for and ended.

Just bomb them into the stone age... anything that still has light is a military generator protecting military assets, bomb it again. Any deep instillation too deep to penetrate, drop poison gas in it's air vents. Stop all China planes/trucks (and other countries) from entering with supplies. Take over ports and oil islands. Take all Iranian boats and don't give them back. Make every drop of oil that can be produced as ours.

Anything above a lego brick military-wise should be eliminated.
