If political and military leaders hadn't shifted strategically on the fly half this country would be colonized by Japan, and likely the other half by Germany.

No one on earth can. parse what applies December 8, 1941, and then June 6, 1944.  It's that day to day adjustments that insures success.

Correct.  Objectives change from day to day in this fast moving conflict, and a competent Commander in Chief adjusts.  Who knows what tomorrow will bring?  Not me, nor any of these corrupt politicians.
