I have much more faith in Texas voters than you do. (After Paxton wins the nomination the Washington establishment will start funneling $$$ to Talarico under the table. They are scared spitless of Paxton.)
I am a Texas Voter too, and I hope you are right. However, even with one of the most high profile battles of all the primaries (most spent ever)... There were more dim voters in this primary than GOP.
The fact is, these three turds ....Cornyn-Paxton-Hunt's mudsling fiasco screwed the pooch, and now we get to do it all over again. I left my ballot empty on this race in protest. And I am glad I did. Will as always cast for runoff winner in Novembers. But we committed suicide with this slate and tactics.
Now the dims have thrown a trojan horse, aw-shucks, Jimmy Stewart-ish Mr. Smith, Presbyterian Seminarian at us. This likely will not end well.
I just can't wait till I get my first call, likely next week from the GOP. They won't like what I say.
