I'm just thankful that I gave up trips to Mexico years ago. This looks scary and is including a lot of tourist areas.

CJNG just violated one of the cartels' most important rules:  Never attack the tourists!  Doing so will immediately dry up the dollars generated by the tourism industry, one of the few legit enterprises in Mexico today.  It would be like blowing up refineries and oil wells.

Now, Puerto Villarta is going to be an economic wasteland, already crippled by declining cruise ship traffic over the past several years.  Even Carnival isn't going to want to port there now!

That, and Rocky Point (Puerto Pinasco) were popular weekend trips among my friends in the 80's and early 90's, but I never went with them because I never trusted the Federales.  The cartels are worse, because the Federales only wanted to rob us Gringos!  Cartels will torture and kill you, especially if you were Hispanic.

I stopped off at Cabo once on a cruise but we never got off the ship...we did go on excursions in Puerto Villarta and Mazatlan, but never again.

And that's the problem with these guys. They're crazy, think they're 10 ft tall and invicible.

Which is why they concern me, they could cross over here and wreak alot of havoc before we stop them, and don't care about the consequences.
