Trump should call a presser and tell all the agencies affected by this to send their people home for the weekend....those agencies include TSA, FEMA, Coast Guard, and cybersecurity...NOT ICE!

And make it clear that every delay, screwup, or inconvenience is due solely to Chuck Schumer and the dems. Call them out by name and post their contact information, so people can let them know what they think.

Simply make the Democrats own it.  When the other side hands you a free gift like this, take it.  And whatever you do, don't give them a damn thing for their votes.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I'm good with it. Ain't liked the DHS ever since Dubya established it. And I am on the record. Let it die.

Only a few parts of DHS will be affected - TSA and the Coast Guard being the principle ones. BP, HSI, and ICE, & essential personnel will not be affected.

So the Dems do not care if the CG cannot rescue mariners in distress, or that contraband is brought on airplanes.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

In other words, the Democrats do not give one rat's rear end over the safety and well-being of American citizens. But, of course, we knew that.

And risk losing their precious illegal alien voters? Not a chance.

I only wish that Republicans would broadcast this message with a single voice, continuously to the American people, but they still can't figure that out, even now.

Democrats are bees in a hive. Republicans are cats in an alley.

"If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people."    -Calvin Coolidge
