Was watching these police detectives on a podcast this evening.  One of their theories is that the son in law may be tied in some way to the California guy that texted the daughters phone and son in law's phone asking where the bitcoin money was.  He is the one now in custody in Arizona.  This may have been a plot by the son in law....hmmmm.  Interesting theory...

Weeks into Nancy Guthrie case and the public has not been asked to look out for any type of car.  Reminder, Tucson says it does not have traffic cameras that record.  Pima County says it does have cameras but they're not always crystal clear.  Of course, look at Nancy's Nest cam -- if Feds want video of a car they may just find it, but in general NO description of ANY car in this day and age with cameras everywhere seems remarkable.

Odd that cell phone records for the area are not picking up anything for vehicles. Most cars these days are cell phone connected and if there was a cell phone in the car then that can be tied to a vehicle if/when it passes by a camera.

Geofence warrants being a thing these days I am deeply surprised that this has not happened.

Anonymous donor drops $100K to help find missing Nancy Guthrie

An anonymous $100,000 donation significantly increased the reward in the search for missing 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, the Pima County Sheriff's Office confirmed Wednesday.

88-CRIME in Arizona announced it received the donation, boosting its reward offer in the case to $102,500. The organization shared the update on Facebook.

The increased 88-CRIME reward is separate from the FBI’s reward offer. The FBI is not involved in administering any non-FBI rewards.

The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to Guthrie’s location or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.

Polygraph tests conducted as officials promise update on Guthrie case

Fox News has learned polygraph tests are being conducted at the Pima County Sheriff’s Department amid the ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie.

While authorities would not confirm the tests are connected to the case, the sheriff’s department promised “an update is coming soon.”

Did we ever hear who dropped Nancy off at home after dinner ar her daughter's?  Did the driver just drop her off in front of the house or go in with her? I mean, she's  an unhealthy 84 y/o woman  - wouldn't  you make sure she got inside safe & sound if it were your relative?

...even as it grows more obvious every day that there is no 3rd-party malefactor.

FACTS:

No one has been found and no suspect has been arrested nearly 3 WEEKS after she "vanished."

Authorities have found and analyzed DNA evidence from the scene and gloves, but no matches have been identified in national databases yet.

Ransom notes have surfaced in the case, but their authenticity and connection to the actual abduction remain unverified.

Search warrants have been executed at a residence near her home, but no arrests resulted.

And most significantly: The reward for information has increased to more than $200,000.

Which of course means that the "kidnapper" not only doesn’t want a ransom:

TUCSON, Ariz. — The hunt for Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy, has been doomed by Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos’ ego and his vendetta against the FBI, according to a rising chorus of critics.

The high-profile case has seen missteps like leaving Nancy Guthrie’s house unguarded in the hours after the crime, baffling press interviews and a protracted investigation that so far has yielded no clear suspects or strong leads after more than two weeks.

The FBI is desperate to take over the investigation, but cannot unless the Guthrie family specifically asks, multiple law enforcement sources told The Post.
