NEW: Sheriff Nanos responds to me about the local Phoenix news report that cites an inside source who says investigators believe the Guthrie case was a burglary gone bad and that Nancy Guthrie is still alive.

"Did not come from us. No idea and even though that is one of many possibilities we would never speculate such a thing. We will let the evidence take us to motive."

Dang....she's aged 20 years in the last 2 weeks.  I can't even imagine the emotional rollercoaster ride that this has been.  God bless her and her family.

They guy/guys that did this are likely in Mexico.  They've had a 2 week head start.

I watched a group of current police detectives on a live pod cast this evening.  They were saying nothing had been stolen...the first I've heard of this.  They also didn't think it was a robbery, since they'd never seen someone totally covered up like the guy on camera was.  Sheesh....who the heck knows at this point.

Savannah Guthrie’s videos aren’t helping.

Each time she makes one of her bland, halting pleas, I can tell she knows her mom isn’t being held anywhere.

She knows where her mom is.

She knows she’s not talking to a kidnapper.

She’s not animated enough in her appeals.

They feel like HOMEWORK.

Nobody holds a woman hostage for 3 weeks.

Especially when that woman’s return is potentially worth MILLIONS to them.

And now they’re saying authorities are looking AWAY FROM the family?

Guys this smells more and more like last week’s fish.

STOP treating this like an abduction.

START treating it like a MURDER.

And focus on the most likely suspects:

Those CLOSEST to her.

Prosecution rests.

Most burglars, unless they were complete drug-crazed dimwits, would have been watching the house to see Nancy leave to go to dinner at her daughter's. They would have broken in during that absence of several hours, not waiting until after her return.

I believe both and add to it that I don't think that the Pima Sheriff's department can be trusted.

After this amount of time that has gone by, people questioned, vehicle seized and yet nothing. She struggled and was overpowered as most 82 year old women would be.

Fox coverage is slowly dissipating...for the most part they are doing about 2 or 3 minute updates and then move on to other news like AOC in Munich..lol

I don't know, either. I hope against probability that she is found, alive and healthy, and not exceedingly traumatized by her experiences.

Sadly, I think that outcome grows less likely by the day, and it didn't start off with a high probability.
