Even if somebody with connections should have been able to procure a liquid dosage of whatever she required to clear the infection which he was trying to clear up in her system.
And these guys are worth Billions? 
It has been my experience that most super-rich folks are dumb as a box of hammers. I have maintained properties (Which, btw, my sis and her hub have done most all their life), some for folks you know... I have also been intimately involved in construction of large homes, also some of which, are summer homes for folks you might know.
Nice folks, by and large. Uppity though... often too big for their britches. Just a handful that would sit and drink a beer with you over a fire.
If you're a fixer, especially one with the normal network of other fixers in periphery, with the ability to obtain parts for anything, with the ability to cross parts and adapt parts from one thing to another, and manage a project form start to finish - I mean typical redneck shit here - It's like magic to em.
They don't know how to do anything past their specialty, and most people are trying to take all their money (so they get screwed a lot), so a feller that rides for the brand, and treats em fair, and who is reasonably handy... It's like wizardry to them. They'll keep you around and throw money at you your whole life long.
