Border Patrol involved in Arizona shooting, one person injured, local authorities say
FBI and US Customs and Border Protection coordinate with Pima County Sheriff's Department following incident in Arivaca area

Authorities in Arizona were responding Tuesday to a shooting involving the U.S. Border Patrol.
The FBI told Fox News Digital that it was investigating an alleged assault on a federal officer that occurred around 7 a.m. near Arivaca, Arizona, just miles from the southern border.
"The subject was taken into custody," the agency said. "This remains an ongoing investigation. No further information will be provided."
The Pima County Sheriff's Department said it was coordinating with the FBI and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The shots were fired near milepost 15 on Arivaca Road, according to the Santa Rita Fire District (SRFD).
Emergency responders from the Santa Rita Fire District (SRFD) and American Medical Response arrived at the scene around 7:30 a.m. and found one person in critical condition, KVOA reported.
The patient was taken to a local hospital via medical helicopter.
Fox News Digital has reached out to the fire district, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Department of Homeland Security.
Details about the circumstances of the shooting have not been disclosed.
