Russia Burned Through Two-Thirds of Its Annual Zircon Missile Output in Just 19 Days

According to an analysis published by Militarnyi on July 19, based on daily reports from the Ukrainian Air Force and regional air commands, Russia launched 107 ballistic missiles and 20 3M22 Zircon missiles between July 1 and July 19, including during the large-scale overnight attack on July 19.
According to the outlet, the July total has already surpassed Russia’s estimated monthly production of ballistic missiles. Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR) estimates that Russia manufactures approximately 60 9M723 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and around 40 RM-48U missiles used by S-400 air defense systems each month—roughly 100 missiles combined.
The reported launch figures also represent a sharp increase compared with June. Militarnyi noted that Russian forces used 102 Iskander-M and S-400 ballistic missiles, two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles, and 15 Zircon missiles throughout the entire month of June.
According to HUR production estimates cited by Militarnyi, Russia plans to manufacture only 30 Zircon missiles during 2026. With 20 reportedly launched in less than three weeks, that would equal roughly two-thirds of the year’s planned output.
The intelligence assessment cited by the publication also estimates that, before the latest wave of strikes, Russia possessed more than 100 Iskander-M missiles, over 400 RM-48U missiles for S-400 systems, and more than 120 Zircon missiles in reserve. Militarnyi added that Russia had maintained an Iskander-M stockpile of around 200 missiles since December 2025. . .
