The scheme that could help Democrats retake the House
January 13, 2026 | Elizabeth Ames

A redistricting lawsuit currently moving through the New York courts could help Democrats retake the House of Representatives in November— by unseating New York City’s sole Congressional Republican, a vigorous, influential voice against the socialist policies of New York City’s newly elected Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

Democrats are seeking to redraw New York City’s 11th Congressional District, encompassing Staten Island and a portion of Brooklyn.  The move aims to create a Democrat-leaning district where GOP Representative Nicole Malliotakis would likely be defeated in the coming 2026 midterm election.

With the Republican House majority currently at 218-213, unseating Malliotakis would significantly up the Democrats’ chances of retaking control of the House in November.

Malliotakis is a member of the prestigious House Ways and Means Committee.  Partly Hispanic—members of her family fled Castro’s Cuba—she is an especially formidable critic of the far-left ideology that has taken hold in the Democratic Party. All of this is why Democrats want her gone.  Having previously failed to redistrict her out of office, they’re hoping to get their way this time.

The Dems are just using the Republicans' scheme to keep the House against them.

Repubs fired the first shot in Texas.

RINO argues:
"Repubs fired the first shot in Texas."

Yes, but then they STOPPED shootin'.

The dem-communists, on the other hand, won't quit.

If ALL the red states pushed redistricting through, and if ALL of them used the same tactics as the left to minimize the possibility of blue districts, the Pubbies might have a chance.

But -- as usual -- they're doing little.
As the great Bill Monroe would say, "that ain't no part o' nuthin'..."

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Sorry bud, blue states redistricted years if no decades ago.
The Republic is lost.
