A line from an episode of The Simpsons aired 26 years ago reads:

If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

You have every right to post this as DJT did run on that... Do you think the Iran threat is real?  Do you think that the current administration is overall doing better than the previous administration? Had Harris won in 2024 do you think that administration would do anything to protect Americans? Do you think DJT administration should have let Iran rule the gulf? I am an old (76) man who has been a life long conservative.  The GOP has always had a base issue that thinks a single issue is reason to bash or "sit this one out" mentality which always has resulted in more of our freedoms disappearing as the Marxist Democrats regain control of the political scene as more often than not they have their hand in keeping the divide going. I absolutely dislike the current Democrats but I must admit they know how to  message and stick together when elections are on the line.  I spent 20 years in the military.  It saddens me that we have to go to war, but I will not bash, will not sit out, will not aid the Democrats who hate this country in any way.

How God must weep at humans' folly! Stand fast! God knows what he is doing!
Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Anyone recall The Bay of Pigs? Air strikes called off, returning expats slaughtered on the beaches? Castro remained in power?

Yeah, that was how Democrats did regime change.

Then they did Vietnam...
(And Nixon got us out)

Don't forget that South Vietnam was holding its own until the DEMOCRATS cut off the $$$.
And that doesn't even mention the fact that we had to fight that war with our hands tied behind our back. If the pukes in Washington had gotten out of the way and let warfighters take care of business, WE would have won inside of six months!

Haiphong Harbor was off limits for bomb runs, but most everything that came down to Ho Chi Minh trail sat on the docks there, first.

Despite being hobbled by the Pentagon and politicians, our troops won every major engagement. The Media didn't help, presenting Tet as some sort of defeat, when every provincial capital was invaded during a cease fire, simultaneously, and all were retaken (with the exception of Hue, because of R.O.E.) in short order, effectively eliminating the Viet Cong as a fighting force. Subsequent engagements were fought against mostly NVA regulars.

Crap that went on there still angers me, and I wasn't in the service, though many of my friends were, some in country.
