The US city where stealing goes unpunished

In one major U.S. city, theft laws have lost their teeth. After local leaders raised the minimum amount for felony charges and prosecutors began dropping minor cases, shoplifting exploded. Many stores closed, citing losses and safety concerns. Critics call it “legalized theft,” while officials insist they’re focusing on violent crime instead.

I'm gonna guess this is Frisco.

Remember that old Toyota commercial?
You voted for it.
You asked for it.
You got it.

The solution:
Shoot the thieves.
If they go down, keep shooting until dead.
Do enough of this, and the stealing and looting will stop.
Guaranteed.

Sorry if you don't care for this reply...

@Fishrrman ^ Seconded ^ (and remove the liberal crying over said justified shooting, and hang the judges that say it isn't justified).

I've been saying the same for years.

But theft is not punished anymore, at least not as much as it is encouraged.

Because the biggest thieves are the ones who we elect, allowing them to pilfer and plunder without risking their own hides.

And that, in the final analysis, is our fault.
"If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people."    -Calvin Coolidge
