Trump Delivers Major Blow to California’s EV Rules
 
The Trump administration moved to strip California of its authority over electric vehicle (EV) rules. This represents a major regulatory shift, centered on the Clean Air Act Waiver and the Congressional Review Act (CRA).

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump signed three congressional resolutions that officially revoked California’s ability to set its own vehicle emission standards.
 
Supporters of the rollback argue that California’s special authority under the Clean Air Act has long given one state outsized influence over national auto markets, effectively forcing manufacturers and consumers nationwide to follow California’s standards regardless of local preferences or economic conditions.

Good.  Let’s hope they did it the correct way under the APA so that it sticks.
