A Chinese national on a visa in the US has been charged with allegedly smuggling a deadly bacteria into the country. FBIDirector Kash Patel said Friday that Youhuang Xiang, a post-doctoral researcher on a J-1 visa, was charged with allegedly smuggling Escherichia coli ( E. coli) into the country and making false statements about it. A J-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows eligible international candidates to travel to the US and gain experience by participating in work- and study-based programs.
