FIRST ON FOX — Federal authorities say they disrupted a credible terrorist threat over the weekend, arresting four alleged members of a radical pro-Palestinian extremist group accused of planning coordinated New Year’s Eve bombings in Los Angeles.

The FBI told Fox News Digital that the members self-identified as part of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology.

According to the FBI, they were allegedly planning coordinated bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve using improvised explosive devices (IEDs), targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles.

The agency said the four were arrested in Lucerne Valley, where they were believed to be preparing to test explosive devices ahead of the planned attacks. They have each been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.

The FBI said Monday that a fifth individual believed to be connected to the same TILF extremist group was arrested in New Orleans for allegedly planning a separate attack.

A TILF Instagram account said its founding chapter is in Los Angeles, and its goal is to free "Turtle Island," an Indigenous name used to refer to North America, from the "illegal American empire."

"Free Palestine. Free Hawaii. Free Puerto Rico," the account posted.

A group of far-left extremists allegedly planned to kill ICE agents after carrying out their New Year’s Eve terror plot against American businesses.

Four bizarrely nicknamed members of a group known as the “Order of the Black Lotus” — a splinter group of the “anti-capitalist” Turtle Island Liberation Front — planned to plant pipe bombs at two US companies in Los Angeles, according to a federal prosecutors.

Afterward, the group planned to attack federal immigration agents and their vehicles with pipe bombs beginning in January or February 2026 — in the hopes the blasts “would take some of them out and scare the rest of them,” according to the criminal complaint.
 
The New Year’s Eve plot, dubbed “Operation Midnight Sun,” consisted of planting backpacks stuffed with bombs at two companies, according to a handwritten plan discovered by investigators.

Four suspects were arrested: Audrey Carroll, 30, also known as “Asiginaak” and “black moon”; Zachary Page, 32, who went by “Ash Kerrigan,” “AK” and “cthulu’s daughter”; Dante Garfield, 24, known as “Cedar” or “Nomad”; and Tina Lai, 41, whose alias was “Kickwhere.”

Search warrants also found signs declaring “Death to America,” “Death to ICE” and “Long live Turtle Island and Palestine,” officials announced Monday.

Louisiana Trantifa militant and alleged member of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, Micah "Kateri" Legnon, was allegedly recruited into the leftist terror group because of his firearms experience as a former Marine and New Iberia Police Department officer.
He identifies as a Satanist and his social media is filled with posts about the need to kill fascists, Nazis and ICE.
He allegedly loaded up firearms and armor for the group when he was intercepted and arrested. The DOJ released a screenshot of what he was allegedly writing to his far-left cell in a secret Signal chat.

The press solemnly tells us that most politically-motivated violence comes from the right, with the last few years apparently a deviation from the norm. But they don’t fool anyone, as the left-wing violence just keeps on coming:

    Two suspects in a far-left “anti-capitalist, anti-government” extremist group have been charged with plotting to detonate weapons of mass destruction in and around Los Angeles in a bombshell grand jury indictment.

    Their alleged attack was designed to “completely pulverize” tech companies and logistics firms, prosecutors announced Tuesday.

The group is called the Turtle Island Liberation Front, after a name that some Native Americans used for North America or the Earth. The idea was that it was sitting on the back of a giant turtle.

Chicago and New Orleans officials are sounding the alarm for high alert over possible New Year’s Eve terror attacks after two suspected terror attacks were thwarted in both Los Angeles and New Orleans. In Chicago, the city’s New Year’s Eve celebrations have been reported to be an “attractive target” for both foreign and domestic terrorists.

According to an assessment from Chicago officials, the New Year’s Eve celebration event with fireworks on the city’s Navy Pier is an “attractive target” for terror attacks.  ...

In addition to the assessment in Chicago, New Orleans officials have also requested that there be heightened security for the New Year’s Eve, Sugar Bowl event after an ex-Marine was arrested on the way to Louisiana with guns as well as body armor.

Micah James Legnon, 28, was charged with threats in interstate commerce in the alleged plot, but that has sparked New Orleans officials to request more security for the upcoming New Year’s Eve event. Authorities have also said that Legnon is affiliated with the left-wing extremist group known as the Turtle Island Liberation Front.  ...

There's a big NYE event planned for downtown Pittsburgh, too. I haven't heard anything about increased security, though.
