You may find 'nobility' in a savage. But never forget that his first instinct is to kill you.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

I find it hard to believe that filthy French Canadians in Quebec would want to join the United States.  No speakie Frenchie in America.

It happened before. That is why creole Cajuns speak pidgin French. Cajuns came from the Quebec area and migrated to Southern Louisiana.

Look it up for fun. It is interesting.

 Le Quebecois.
You know. Wine drinkers. Pea soup eaters. French Canadians!

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The Quebequois won't want to join the US.  They'd have to accept the First Amendment, and the free-exercise clause would get in the way of their more-French-than-France version of laïcité.  I can believe the western provinces, esp. Alberta with its let-the-Eastern-bastards-freeze-in-the-dark attitude toward Ontario and Quebec, would want to join.  They'd be happy with the whole Bill of Rights.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

I believe you are right. The Quebecois have been raising a ruckus about independence for years, but I don't think they want to become a US State, ever.

When Cajuns (French Acadians) went to Lousiana after being expelled by the British (who gained control of Acadia in 1713) in 1755, Louisiana was still under the control of France.

Snotty Quebecois are not going to submit to Anglo-American culture.

I suspect Quebcois would pefere to join Haiti than to accept American English as an equal languague to Quebecois.  They will still demand that Quebcois signage must use a larger font size than English.

No sane person would ever go to Haiti these days. Haiti as it is today is not fit for human habitation.

We don't want Quebec.

Let it exist as a free-standing nation (it will have access to international waters via the St. Lawrence River).

It may become a refuge for "Old World" native French trying to escape their country from the coming islamic takeover...

We don't want Ontario, either. Let it join up with eastern Minnesota, Michigan, perhaps the northern tip of Illinois to include Chicago. Truth is, we would be better off without the leftists in those states.

We DO want Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
Add to that the Yukon and Northwest Territories.

British Columbia?
Full of leftists, give it to the new nation comprised of California and the western thirds of Oregon and Washington.

The Maritimes?
They can either split off into their own nation, or perhaps keep up some kind of union with Ontario.

WEXIT!

We live in interesting times.

THREE provinces AND the Territories (which I take to be NWT and Yukon) - OVER HALF of people surveyed want independence or US statehood.

Just WOW.

That's really a thing. That's the Yukon and Alberta. Saskatchewan too, to get the stuff over above the midwest...

But Manitoba is the distribution manifold. Those altogether and it's almost plug-n-play.

Then NWT and inland BC just for shits and giggles.  happy77

THEN, without the west, how long will Quebec hold onto the Maritimes?

Too early to see, but this stuff has been cooking ever since the Trucker's  strike.

OK, here's a reality check from Ground Zero ...

This article is about the guy running the current stay-in-Canada petition in Alberta

https://nationalpost.com/news/thomas-lukaszuk-what-alberta-anti-separatist-worries-about

He puts "hard" Alberta separatists at about 10%, with another "soft" 10% of maybe-supporters

I live in Calgary, and I'd say the actual numbers are probably about double that ... but even that isn't enough for any separation yet

And this is about Alberta, the most independence-minded Province (outside of Quebec) in Canada ... so don't count on any new northern states yet

(* If you really want to bet, put your money on Quebec separating first ... the Bloc Quebecois will soon be back in power, and their sole reason for being is getting out of Canada ...)

The Western Provinces beef with Ottawa is simple enough. They feel they are being excessively taxed without sufficient representation. The phrase "treated like a colony" sums that sentiment up.

Those of us in flyover country 'get it', despite having as much representation under the Constitution as we are entitled to, and that assumes they are representing us to the Government, not the other way around.

But squeaky wheels get grease, and the Western provinces have to make their grievances known.

The more those grievances resound with provincial citizens and are ignored by Ottawa or simply blown off, the more the movement will grow.

When pigs fly.

And if there was such an effort, I would say it is the globalists pushing it, and I certainly do not want anything to do with globalism.

And frankly, the Canadians are intolerable.  Their superiority complex can be exhausting.
