It's also a sign that any leftist candidates who are borderline insane are viewed as a feature for Democrat voters, not a bug. They LOVE it when AOC clones act like lunatics. Pointing it out isn't discouraging any longer.

On a 2020 podcast that resurfaced last week, Behn said of Nashville: “I hate the city, I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music, I hate all of the things that make Nashville apparently an ‘it’ city to the rest of the country. But I hate it.”

Van Epps has won ---

A little perspective:  this was a Special Election (not even a midterm) when only the most highly motivated are aware of the election and vote.  Hate of all things Trump, supported by the legacy media, is a powerful motivator --- and we were able to overcome it even with low turnout from Republicans and Independents.

The next time Trump and his team mention a mini-convention for the midterms ---- support it strongly, support it loudly and help GOTV.

This will be a 10 point win --- in a low Republican turnout special election.

Relax.

Canary in the coalmine?

No.

But the special elections that happened earlier this past November are

Democrats are either flipping Republican seats or out performing their 2024 totals this year
This is similar what happened before the 2024 election except it was Republicans that were doing better

Besides this being a very red district, saying that she hated the city and everything about it, that she want to represent,  probably didn’t help either. And she’s also on the further left of the political spectrum.

https://www.newsweek.com/republicans-are-overperforming-recent-elections-1884529

Donald Trump’s unpopularity, his continuing dismissal of concerns people have over the state economy,  and his calling the affordability issue a Democrat scam is going to have an impact next year when there is more swing districts and swing states up for grabs

Republicans are going to  lose the House of Representatives next year. I think even the Republicans currently in the House know  that.

The Senate? Who knows

Excerpt:
Tennessee just delivered a holiday gut punch to the radical left, handing Republican combat vet Matt Van Epps a solid 9-point victory over Aftyn Behn in the 7th District special election. Van Epps, a pro-Trump Army guy who served in Iraq, promised to team up with the president to slash costs, bring manufacturing home, and unleash American energy—messages that clearly resonated in a district Trump carried by 22 points last year. With the economy topping voter concerns, it’s no shock Behn’s progressive fever dreams couldn’t compete. Her near-upset was a pipe dream, but damn if her election party didn’t make for some golden-hour comedy.

Bet that room smelled like cat piss and regret.

Really needs "This Is How We Do It" playing sadly from a boombox in the corner.

The AOC of Tennessee!

Context: Aftyn Behn being detained by law enforcement during a protest related to gun control legislation in the Tennessee House of Representatives some time ago.

The woman is a nut job and you Tennesseans dodged a bullet last night..

The Tennessee Termagant should never have gotten close in that district.

Special elections do tend to bring out the most committed and politically-motivated voters, but even the briefest exposure to this particular woman ought to set off any sensible man's "bunny boiler" alarm.

9% win exceeded pollster/punditry guess of 2%

Footage of this wench's damning of Nashville and Country Music was enough to put Epps easily over the top.

Yeah, the libs are trying to portray this as some sort of "victory" for them because of the point spread. But lower turnout was a big factor too.

GOP Congressmen aren't accomplishing anything to win over constituents.  They are doing jack squat while leaving the heavy lifting and risk taking 100% to Trump.  GOP Congressmen might as well be paper weights or pet rocks.
