Hole in the Ozone Layer Shrinks, Climate Alarmists Hardest Hit

Quote

This writer remembers being in kindergarten when her teachers started talking about the hole in the ozone layer. It was going to get bigger, we were told, and the world would begin boiling from heat, crops would burn from acid rain, and cities would be uninhabitable thanks to smog.

That was 1988, and now — 37 years later — this writer is staring at a foot of snow outside her window, and there's nary a drop of acid rain in sight. Cities are uninhabitable, but that's because of Democratic Party policies and not smog.

In a throwback to the good old 1980s, ABC News is revisiting the once-infamous ozone layer.

This would truly be an "El Rushbo - Told You So!!" moment.   :patriot:

Yes, he sure did.  He knew all about the "Watermelon Left"...green on the outside, red on the inside!

I was a Freshman in college and took a climatology corse back in 74 and the professor was hyping the "hole" back then. We were all gonna be doomed. Hair spray was out. Underarm deodorant spray was out.  In the 80's the company I worked for ditched all there Hydocarbonfloride accelerants in our sprays.  Every product ended up being a spritzer spay like you would water a plant with.  Sales tanked. But hey, we save the planet.  Right?

Twenty five years or so ago I was taking an HVAC course and the instructor had been a AC tech for fifty years, he called bullshit on the Ozone Hole and refrigerant scare back then. He said even then that it was all about money since it banned perfectly fine gasses best suited for the job and replaced them with inferior gasses which required upgraded equipment to do almost as good a job as the banned gases.

Case in point in Cars.  R-12 vs 134.

Remember when they first made the switch and basically just used a different compressor oil and the 134? Undersized condenser, undersized evaporator and less than desirable cooling capacity.

Does that mean we can use Aquanet with impunity again?

Looks like she used enough hairspray to bring on an asthma attack.
Live in  harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

I can’t even calculate how many MickeyD’s Beanie Babies I could have launched from my potato cannon with what she put on her hair.
