Thanksgiving killer's chilling 9-word lie after he massacred his own family over a board game
Story by Gail Shortland & Ayaan Ali • 2h
Thanksgiving is a time when loved ones gather to create special memories – and that's exactly what Jeanett Gattis had in mind in 2017.
Jeanett, 58, and her husband Christopher, 59, had been married for ten years and lived in Chester, Virginia.
They were high school acquaintances who reconnected years later when Jeanett was already a mother of two. To everyone, they seemed like a happy couple, but only they knew the true dynamics behind their closed doors.
Six weeks before Thanksgiving, Jeanett's daughter and her boyfriend moved in with them. Candice Kunze, 30, and Andrew Buthorn, 36, both physical therapists from Oregon, had decided to move to Virginia.
