Liberal commentators blame Trump for National Guard shooting

Individuals like liberal podcaster Wajahat Ali and author John Pavlovitz argued that the shooting of Beckstrom and Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe on Wednesday only happened because of Trump’s orders to station the National Guard in U.S. cities.

"Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are culpable for endangering the National Guard by putting them in harm’s way," Pavlovitz wrote on X.

If one wants to make that argument, one must also make the argument that it's OK for civilians to die instead, because that's what was happening before troops were sent to DC.
I don’t owe tolerance to people who disagree with my existence.
I will NOT comply.

These are the same kooks that think a police presence "provokes criminals", or that having insurance "invites accidents"

They're immature children, too dumb to understand the real nature of cause & effect

There were 147 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in 2024.  Yet not a peep from these same liberals.

Liberal commentators blame Trump for National Guard shooting
'This attack was all Trump,' one commentator claimed

Multiple left-wing commentators are blaming President Donald Trump on Wednesday for the shooting in Washington, D.C., that led to the death of U.S. National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom.

Let me see if I have this straight. Two National Guardsmen were shot by an illegal immigrant shouting Allah Akbar.

But somehow it's their fault for being there, doing a job the local police couldn't seem to handle, and it's all Trump's fault.

Alrighty then.

Which is EXACTLY what they do in Atlanta to bring crime numbers down.  Seriously.

🚨 BREAKING: The Soros-linked NGO "World Relief" FUNDED the settlement of National Guard shooter Rahmanullah Lakanwal in Washington State, from Afghanistan.

World Relief has received US TAXPAYER DOLLARS through USAID.

This same NGO has worked with pro-migration and open borders groups in recent years that are heavily backed by George Soros.

Every. Freaking. Time.

Excerpt:
Thanksgiving turned into a day of national mourning when 20-year-old National Guard Specialist Sarah Beckstrom died from wounds suffered in a cold-blooded ambush near the White House. Her fellow Guardsman, 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe, is still fighting for his life in critical condition. The shooter: Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, an Afghan national who overstayed his visa after being flown here during Biden’s 2021 Afghanistan surrender.

So, the ‘worst case scenario’ for Afghan immigrants is people questioning why we import potential threats?

Meanwhile, Americans are mourning the loss of their own. Priorities, anyone?”

National Guardsman shot in DC is 'hanging on,' family pleading for prayer, congressman says
Rep. Moore says Andrew Wolfe's family is 'committed to service'
 By Greg Norman Fox News
Published November 29, 2025 9:04am EST | Updated November 29, 2025 10:14am EST

The West Virginia National Guardsman who is in critical condition after being shot this week in Washington, D.C., is "hanging on," a congressman told "FOX & Friends Weekend," adding that his family is calling for prayer.

Rep. Riley Moore, R-W.Va., said Saturday that the family of Andrew Wolfe, 24, is "committed to service."

"His father is a deputy sheriff in the county next to mine and Andy wanted to follow in that footsteps and serve his nation as a National Guardsman," Moore told "FOX & Friends Weekend."

"Andy is hanging on. And he is a fighter and his family has told me that time and time again, he is a fighter," Moore added. "But above all what they want here is for everybody to continue to pray. I believe in the power of prayer and I can promise you his parents believe in the power of prayer... Please keep praying."

West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey also told "Fox & Friends Weekend" on Saturday that, "Andrew is fighting for his life right now, and his family and all of his friends, they're trying to harvest as many prayers as possible from all across the country, all across the globe, to help him recover."

Morrisey said Wolfe's condition, as of Saturday, "remains very serious."

"West Virginia cares very deeply about its Guard. And there's just a proud tradition of West Virginians who step up from military service. So when something like this happens, it's really a gut punch to the communities," Morrisey added.

"Most importantly, we need justice to be served. That's critical. I think West Virginians are counting on that. Americans are counting on that," he told Fox News.

I believe. It's what Denver did when they decriminalized marijuana. Property crime went up and police response went down.  A friend moved out of there because of it.

DC National Guard terror suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal was ‘radicalized’ after coming to US, Noem says
By Ryan King
Published Nov. 30, 2025, 10:37 a.m. ET

The madman accused of shooting two National Guard troops in Washington, DC, last week was likely “radicalized” after he came to the US, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem revealed.

Afghan Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, who previously worked on one of the CIA’s “Zero Units” in Afghanistan before being allowed into the US in 2021, was arrested last Wednesday for the shooting rampage, which killed one National Guard troop and critically wounded another.

“I will say we believe he was radicalized since he’s been here in this country,” Noem told NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “We do believe it was through connections in his home community and state, and we’re going to continue to talk to those who interacted with him.”

Is it radicalization, or are their families back home being used to blackmail people here into action?

The notion of "radicalization" (passive voice) is silly. It's a choice, not something that just happens to an otherwise sane person.
