A 38-year-old bystander was knifed in the back early Friday by a driver who confronted him for recording a road rage clash in Midtown, cops and sources said.

The victim started taking video when he spotted a Jeep Grand Cherokee driver sparring with another motorist around 6 a.m. at West 49th Street and Seventh Avenue, according to authorities and sources.
 
The SUV driver stormed up to him and snarled, “What do you want? Do you want something?” sources said.
 

When the driver got in the bystander’s face, the victim pushed him back in self-defense, according to the sources.
