 What to know about Dick Cheney’s funeral set for Nov. 20 at Washington National Cathedral

Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s funeral is scheduled to take place Nov. 20 at Washington National Cathedral.

“Vice President Cheney devoted decades of his life to public service at the highest levels of government,” said the Very Rev. Randolph Marshall Hollerith, dean of Washington National Cathedral, in a statement.

“His life was marked by deep dedication to his family and to the country he served,” he continued.

The funeral service is slated to take place Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. EST.

List of speakers

Tributes will be delivered by former President George W. Bush; Cheney’s daughter, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.); Cheney’s grandchildren; Cheney’s physician, Dr. Jonathan Reiner; and Cheney’s former press secretary and legislative assistant, Pete Williams, who is also a former NBC News correspondent.

Hollerith will deliver the homily at the service.
