Gun owners aren't looking to revolt but rather armed for protection.  There well, may come a time soon @jmyrlefuller  in this country when we have no choice but to stand up to a 'cartel' (and I use that classification loosely) with guns.

Statistically, (and stats do vary and I'd say these are very low estimates) I'd say even if we were to loosely organize among neighbors, we are going to be a force to be reckoned with:

Total civilian firearms: ~ 500 million

Guns per person: ~ 1.5 (nearly 1.9 per adult)

32% of adults own a gun, 43% of households have one

15-16 million guns sold per year now; slower pace than peak years

Demographic shifts notable: women and Hispanic gun owners up, younger adults down

AR‑style rifles: ~24 million in circulation

The two that I have a issue with is, I believe that there are about 40-44 million AR's in the country now and 2024 there were 28,097,205 NICS checks, so that should be upward of 18-20+ million guns. @libertybele
