I mentioned this when Mamdani entered the race - that if he wins, muslims all over the world would consider NYC "their" city. Mamdami, being an Iranian Shia 12er makes it worse, as Iran can now legitimately [ in the muslim world ] claim NYC belongs to Iran. Revenge for US bombing Iran's nuclear sites?
