 Dem voters embrace fringe — from socialists to pro-assassination nuts
By Ben Domenech

The voters spoke Tuesday night, and rather than reject Democrat extremism, they embraced it emphatically.

In New Jersey and Virginia, two fake moderates — high-test resume female candidates practically built in a lab by the party establishment, who nonetheless hold to extreme leftist views on social policy — cruised to victory, in line with polls and the expectations of the political elite.

None of the outcomes were surprises, except perhaps one — the Virginia Attorney General race, where Jay Jones, the bloody-minded partisan who was exposed for openly fantasizing about murdering a Republican political opponent and hoping his children died in their mother’s arms, won handily.

Jones’ victory is a vindication of the pro-assassination faction of the radical left.

It turns out you can celebrate your opponents’ deaths, and muse about how great it would be if their children died, too, without any repercussions.

I think we are seeing the birth of a serious 3rd political party.  DSA.  Democrat Socialists of America
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

Why do Jews vote for the party that wants them dead?
Chad Greene, a young Jewish man, offers this explanation:
Quote
Chad Felix Greene 🇮🇱
@chadfelixg
My Jewish community is small, cut in half by an hour drive between the two larger towns. One Reform, one Reform/Conservative hybrid, one Orthodox. All three rabbis were leftwing progressives, the Orthodox moving from liberal to progressive after Trump.

When Glenn Beck launched his Restoring Courage event in Jerusalem, I and the few politically conservative Jews set up public events to celebrate Israel. A nearby megachurch broadcast the event live. I spoke at it. About 5 Jews attended. No one was willing to be seen attending a Glenn Beck event in a rightwing church.

That same church, alongside a dozen others, sponsored a public event I helped organize to celebrate Israel Independence Day.

Again, maybe 10 Jews showed up despite all the rabbis speaking at the event. Why? They didn't want to be seen supporting what was perceived to be a rightwing Christian event.

As I've mentioned previously, after Muslim students launched a horrifically antisemitic anti-Israel event on my college campus, the Jewish community decided to host several interfaith events. One involved us visiting the local mosque. Everyone took off their shoes, the women covered their hair. The Muslim group refused to enter the synagogue and left the event offended they were even asked.

The Jewish community formally apologized to the Muslim leaders and continued attending palestinian-favoring events and interfaith events calling them friends.

Those same people refused to even appear in public with Christians who enthusiastically stood in support of the Jewish community and Israel.

Why?
Politics.

Christians are considered rightwing, Republican and conservative.

To a liberal/progressive worldview, this is simply unacceptable. The very idea of being associated with Republicans or conservatives was abhorrent to them.

Supporting and accomodating Muslims, even if they are far more socially conservative, is considered open-minded, progressive and socially forward.

This is viewed as courageous and something a good person does. 'If we show them friendship, they'll repay us with friendship.'

Sacrificing your own interests to better society is social justice. That's why so many Jews support the palestinian cause.

Rightwing = Nazi, bigots
Leftwing = progressive, moral

Nazi-favoring, bigoted palestinian Islamist activists = Exciting opportunity to prove how good of a person you are.

Of course lots and lots of Jews voted for Mamdani.

Politics?  You can't vote if you're dead from genocidal terrorism.

This is viewed as courageous and something a good person does. 'If we show them friendship, they'll repay us with friendship.'

That's projecting your own values upon your enemies.  Not everyone wants to be your friend.  Psychopaths view 'friendship' as weakness and vulnerability to be exploited.

Not everybody wants to be 'friends'.  Some just want to be left alone.  Some groups distrust 'outsiders'.

If someone comes up to me and says "I want to be your friend", my reply is that "I don't want your friendship".  My working class cloistered clan-ish shanty Irish Catholic upbringing tought me to be wary of people who wanted to ingratiate themselves with me.  Leaving me alone is friendship enough.

The Jones winning  Attorney General in Virginia is worse than Mandami winning New York City

In this day and age of rising political violence, somebody like that should never hold any political office

And it wasn’t close. He got over 50% of the vote.

I get that Donald Trump is toxic to voters  right now, but really?  I’ve had a chance to read some of what this guy has text and posted because I wanted to see what the controversy was about and it ain’t good.

Is he going to look the other way if somebody threatens violence to a republican or a conservative?

I thought there was no way this guy was going to win with a history like that
