CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Police Chief Terri Theetge has been placed on paid administrative leave, city officials confirmed.

Cincinnati City Manager Sheryl Long states the move comes "pending an internal investigation on the effectiveness of her leadership in the Cincinnati Police Department."  ...

Up until last Wednesday, Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval expressed full confidence in Theetge, but he later stated that due to ongoing violence, "all options are on the table."

Theetge was asked to return from a conference in Denver for a departmental meeting with the city manager, and she has since hired an employment attorney.  ...

Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge has been placed on administrative leave “pending an internal investigation on the effectiveness of her leadership.”

The move comes after Theetge said criminals need to “learn how to behave” after two people were shot.

She also recently shamed people on social media for sharing video footage of a woman getting violently beaten because the video didn’t “depict the entire incident.”
