I'm afraid Putin is playing Trump again -- unless Modi's promise to stop buying Russian oil together with the threat of Tomahawk cruise missiles has suddenly concentrated his mind, which seriously I doubt.  Putin can't stay in power if he ends the war with anything that can't be sold to the Russian people, Russian military and nomenclatura as a victory.  That's the way of Russian history.  Lose a war, or lose lots of men in a drawn war, lose power.

I know Trump wants to be known as the 'peacemaker' president, but Putin  nor Zelenskyy can't be trusted.  There is no way Putin is going to give up his hold on power.

Understand, "peace" is only a temporary thing with Russia, only valid until its next unprovoked attack ... just like Hamas

Russia had a freely-signed "peace treaty" with Ukraine, still in effect, in February 2022 ... yet Russia launched an unprovoked attack anyways

Putin simply cannot be trusted to keep his word!
