There is the Graham Platner that the media wants you to see: Maine oysterman, veteran and gun owner, a working class type who could easily be MAGA, but is running as a Democrat.

Then there’s the real Graham Platner, son of a prominent local attorney, grandson of a major modernist architect, whose business was funded by a nonprofit grant meant for black people.

And by his mother who owns multiple businesses.

While he’s been billed as an outsider candidate with no interest in professional politics, he’s actually the activist son of a council candidate and the husband of a town selectwoman, as well as a local official whom the media had regularly turned to for quotes since at least 2009. ...

Platner is not an outsider. He’s a ‘progressive’ leftist activist from a family of them.

His Senate campaign tweeted a high school yearbook picture of him holding up a sign reading “Free Palestine” above the headline “Most likely to start a revolution”. Unlikely behavior for a working class family, but quite in keeping with the scion of a wealthy and progressive family. ...

Socialist Rifle Association likes to portray themselves as a left wing gun rights/education organization, but they're simply not, they're a violent group connected to attacks including the Alvarado shooting (Benjamin Song was a member)
Also they don't advocate gun rights, SRA chapters have directly stated their goal is disarming "those who stand in our way"

Graham Platner, the bearded socialist running for U.S. Senate in Maine, has unveiled the new tattoo he got to cover up the Nazi skull on his chest. In place of the Totenkopf, or "death's head," symbol adopted by Holocaust perpetrators during World War II, Platner's new tattoo depicts what might charitably be described as a morbidly obese Celtic wolf drawn by a six-year-old child.

Experts slammed the Nazi cover-up as one of the worst tattoo jobs they have ever seen, noting that parts of the skull and crossbones were still clearly visible. "Whoever did this is not particularly talented," said Adam Kredo, 53, a degenerate blogger with numerous tattoos depicting the unspeakable. "It's a horrible tattoo, and the quality is truly piss poor. The embellishments on each side are a sloppy mess."


Ethan Barton, an egregiously tattooed liberal journalist who resides in the hipster cesspool of Denver, Colo., was also unimpressed. "The lines on the circle are especially bad," he told the Washington Free Beacon. "Looks wobbly as hell."

A source tells me Victoria Perrone resigned from the campaign on Tuesday, and a new FEC filing from Friday evening lists Ben Martello as the new treasurer.

Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner's campaign manager resigned after just three days on the job, citing his wife's pregnancy and his desire to "lean into this new experience as a family."

Platner hired "longtime friend" Kevin Brown as campaign manager just last Tuesday, around the same time that reports broke that Platner had a tattoo of a Nazi "Totenkopf" on his chest, Politico reported at the time. Brown is now stepping down from the position, Axios reported Monday.

"Graham is a dear friend," Brown told Axios. "I started this campaign Tuesday but found out Friday we have a baby on the way. Graham deserves someone who is 100% in on his race and we want to lean into this new experience as a family, so it was best we step back sooner than later so Graham can get the manager he deserves."

Platner's campaign been mired in nonstop controversy since reports broke about his Reddit posts, in which he said that "all" cops are bastards, called white rural Americans racist and stupid, called himself a communist, asked why black people "don't tip," and advised people concerned about sexual assault to "take some responsibility for themselves and not get so bleep up."

Former Platner political director Genevieve McDonald resigned earlier this month following the first wave of reports on the social media posts. She has since told Politico that the campaign offered her a $15,000 nondisclosure agreement, which she refused.

Since McDonald's resignation, the Advocate reported that Platner made Reddit comments containing "homophobic slurs, anti-LGBTQ+ jokes, and sexually explicit stories denigrating gay men," and Platner confirmed that he had the Totenkopf tattoo, though he suggested he was unaware of the Nazi symbolism. Former associates of his have denied that claim, with McDonald calling him a history buff who "knows damn well" what the tattoo means and another saying he referred to the ink as "my Totenkopf."

Platner has since gotten a different tattoo to cover up the Nazi skull. ...
