Four Arrested by FBI in Alleged Laser Attack
Story by Jennifer White•
41m

A group of Mexican nationals has been apprehended in Portland, Oregon, for allegedly directing a laser at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) helicopter, prompting significant concerns about aviation safety. The individuals, now held in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody, face potential federal charges following an FBI-led raid on their residence. The Department of Homeland Security identified the detainees as Diogenes Albores-Suchiapa, Andres Brian Lopez-Labra, Benito Zamora-Alvarez, and Hector Miranda Mendoza, all with prior arrests or extended periods of unlawful residence in the U.S.
