Excerpt:
The so-called “tolerant” left just can’t help exposing their violent underbelly, and this latest bombshell from Virginia is a doozy that could swing a key race. National Review dropped a explosive report on Friday, October 3, 2025, revealing shocking text messages from Jay Jones, the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general. Back on August 8, 2022, Jones went on a deranged rant in a private chat with former GOP colleague Carrie Coyner, fantasizing about shooting then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert in the head—not once, but twice—in a twisted “three people, two bullets” scenario pitting Gilbert against Hitler and Pol Pot. Yeah, you read that right: this guy’s equating a Republican leader to history’s worst tyrants and dreaming of executing him.

“Like all people”? Sorry- don’t think I’ve threatened to kill someone’s family in a text- or even driven at 116mph for that manner. Definitely not attorney general temperament

It’s Trump's fault he’s an unhinged, violent democrat?

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
Trump is not the reason he's a violent Democrat.

He's just allowed the nature of the beast to rise to the surface for all to see.

Does Virginia really want an Attorney General who would convey such murderous ideation, one so effervescent they could not keep it to themselves?

How much farther would they have to go to be acting out on such, or just simply abusing the power of the office they seek?--and there is no guarantee who would be the focus of that abuse.

Virginia AG candidate once referenced putting ‘two bullets to the head’ of GOP leader, texts show
In the texts, Jay Jones wondered whether GOP leader Todd Gilbert and his wife were 'breeding little fascists'
By Charles Creitz Fox News

Virginia Democratic attorney general candidate Jay Jones once remarked on shooting the Virginia House speaker in texts with another lawmaker, the latest example of charged political rhetoric some have called the politics of "rage."

Texts obtained by Fox News Digital Friday showed an August 2022 conversation between Jones — then a recently departed delegate from Norfolk — and another lawmaker after the death of Del. Joe Johnson, D-Bristol, at age 90.

"Hence the glowing tributes from the Rs. Damn, that (message) was for Mark," Jones texted Del. Carrie Coyner, R-Chester.

At the time, several House Republicans — including leadership — offered eulogizing words for Johnson, who had been known as an aisle-crossing, friendly moderate. One of those who had kind words for Johnson was then-House Speaker Todd Gilbert, R-Shenandoah.

Jones told Coyner that Johnson "leaked everything to your [Republican] caucus. It’s why Gilbert gave him such a glowing tribute."

"If those guys die before me, I will go to their funerals to piss on their graves," he continued. "Send them out awash in something."

This violent, disgusting rhetoric targeted at an elected official and his children is beyond disqualifying.
Jay Jones said that “Gilbert gets two bullets to the head” and then hoped his children would die. Read those words again.
There is no “gosh, I’m sorry” here. Jones doesn’t have the morality or character to drop out of this race, and his running mates Abigail Spanberger, Ghazala Hashmi, and every elected Democrat in Virginia don’t have the courage to call on him to step away from this campaign in disgrace.

Spot on, Governor.  Spot on.

Has the Virginia GOP taken a position on this?  Or are they remaining silent hoping this blows over?

Well, I did find this.  Maybe they will make a statement after all.

FAST, FURIOUS, & RADICAL: Jay Jones Exposed for Reckless Disregard for Human Life, 116 MPH Joyride

Jay Jones, the Virginia Democrat nominee for Attorney General, has been exposed for a dangerous, thoughtless joyride at 116 miles per hour on I-64 — 46 mph over the speed limit — that could have ended in tragedy. And it only gets worse from there.

Pulled over by state police in January 2022, Jones was convicted of reckless driving, a crime that carries a penalty of up to a year in jail. This was not some minor speeding ticket. Jones was intentionally going nearly double the speed limit because he thought that wherever he had to be was more important than the safety of everyone else on the road. He thought he was above the law.

Jones’s reckless driving mirrors his reckless political record: repeatedly voting for the early release of violent felons and opposing mandatory penalties for dangerous repeat offenders. Whether behind the wheel or in the legislature, Jay Jones shows the same callous disregard for how his actions endanger innocent people.

Even worse, Jones made a mockery of the justice system to avoid jail time. Court records show he claimed 1,000 hours of “community service” in 2023 — half of it for his own political action committee, “Meet Our Moment” — and tried to pass off campaigning as public service. Instead of accepting real accountability, Jones turned his punishment into a springboard for his political career. Only someone with no respect for the rule of law would claim that stumping for his PAC was “community service.”

Jay Jones’s record is clear: when given the chance to protect Virginians, he chooses himself. Whether it’s joyriding at 116 mph or pushing dangerous policies that put violent criminals back on the streets, his actions prove he cannot be trusted to enforce the law. Virginia families deserve an Attorney General who will uphold justice, not actively flout it.

Speeding on I-64 is a big deal in the Commonwealth.  Had this been me, my license would have been suspended.  This act alone is worth 12 points against his license.  And if he was speeding in a state vehicle, he was supposed to have an official meeting with the governor to explain why.

Erick Erickson
@EWErickson
A politician got arrested for doing 116mph in a 45mph zone.  Sentenced to 1000 hours of community service in lieu of prison, he devoted 500 of those hours to his own political campaign, obfuscating to the court about how he did his community service.  He also not only texted a colleague about murdering other politicians, but when the recipient of the text messages objected, he called her to argue the point, insisting his opponents were worthy of assassination.
But the politician is Jay Jones, a Democrat in Virginia.  So what would be a national news story were he a Republican with Manu Raju of CNN and others shoving microphones in the faces of congressmen on Capitol Hill demanding to know if they condemn him, will, instead, be a local story so local that even the major press outlets in Virginia try to avoid it.

Democrats keep getting “busted” talking this way because this is how Democrats talk all the time when they’re with each other. Anyone who lives or works in Democrat circles knows this to be true.
This didn’t shock me at all because I’ve heard it. Many, many times.

The contest between Jason Miyares and Jay Jones, the scion of a Beltway political dynasty, is also an interesting microcosm of how much both parties, not just their bases but also their candidates, have changed. The former Democratic lawmaker is the son of two prosecutors who became judges. He attended prep school, while Miyares grew up in a house with a single mother and went to public school. This is a reflection of how much the resumes of candidates for both parties have shifted in the era of conservative populism. ...

Good grief, this guy is unbelievable.

Democratic attorney general nominee Jay Jones told Del. Carrie Coyner in a 2020 phone call that a few police officers dying would stop them from killing other people.  Virginia Scope.

Pelosi is just as evil as Jones.

CNN: "The Democrat candidate for Attorney General in Virginia said a Republican deserved two bullets in his head... Should he get out of the race?"

Pelosi: "What I understand is they say, on balance, he is a better person to be Attorney General."
