Two illegal aliens briefly escaped ICE custody yesterday before being recaptured near Conroe.Two illegal aliens escaped custody on Monday after one slipped his restraints and allegedly choked a female Border Patrol agent. The two men were later recaptured near Conroe.
ICE announced that the men—29-year-old Juan Carmen Padron Mendez and 23-year-old Juan Carlos Padron Barron—escaped while being transferred from Spring to the Montgomery Processing Center.
According to ICE, one of the men managed to slip out of his restraints and choke a female Border Patrol agent who was helping with the transfer.
Gabriel Martinez, the acting field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, blasted the attack and pointed to the political environment surrounding law enforcement.
