Dad with '99.9% DNA match' arrested after step-daughter, 11, gives birth at home

Liam Buckler | 26 Aug 2025 | 11:52A man has been arrested after his 11-year-old step-daughter gave birth at home - and was revealed to be a "99.9% DNA match" for the baby.
Step-dad Dustin Walker, 34, and mum Cherie Walker, 33, were arrested last week after the child gave birth on August 16, according to police.
The pair were originally charged with one count of felony child neglect after they claimed they did not know the child was pregnant, and the girl had not visited a doctor in over a year.
However, on Monday, their charges changed after DNA tests showed that the step-dad was a "99.9% DNA match" for the baby's father.
Mr Walker is accused of sexually abusing the girl, who was 11 years old at the time, between January 1 and August 16, resulting in her giving birth to his child.
The couple was also charged with six counts of felony child neglect, including failing to provide the 11-year-old with adequate medical care and supervision when she gave birth at home. Her mum, Cherie Walker, was charged with enabling child sexual abuse.
"This is one of the most if not the most serious child sexual abuse and neglect cases I have ever prosecuted," Muskogee County Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson said in a statement.
"This child is traumatised. She's been through a horrific ordeal. I mean, not only has somebody gotten her pregnant, but she gave birth at home without medical assistance, and this will be her life for the rest of her life.
The 11-year-old's grandmother spoke out in defence of the couple, telling the outlet: "I just want people to know, we did not know this was happening. None of us."
"They've made my daughter and my son-in-law a monster. They are not. They love those children. They love them," she said, adding that she hopes to see her grandchildren again. . .
