Beto O'Rourke: When Dems Take Power Back "We're Gonna Drive That Car Like We Stole It," And Legalize Every Immigrant

Former U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke called on Democrats to do more than "comprehensive immigration reform" the next time they take back the White House and Congressional majorities, at a rally on Saturday against the GOP effort to redistrict Texas congressional districts.

"We absolutely failed to live up to the expectations that we set, so next time we win power, we're going to drive that car like we stole it," he said at the rally in Fort Worth called "The People vs. The Power Grab."

Robert Francis tried that the last two times he ran for office...he still lost badly.

The worst mistake politically he ever made was abandoning his safe U.S. Representative seat in El Paso to try and run for higher office.

I've always said he should have stayed in El Paso.  He would have held that seat for life.  Apparently he's the only person in Texas who thought he was a "rising star."

The Dems in Texas did a good job of burying the story when it popped up when he ran against Cruz and again when he ran against Abbott for Govenor.
