Someone on ESPN said this just shows the Colts are desperate. What would it indicate if they'd signed Kaepernick - that they're absolute morons, perhaps?

I'm surprised they didn't approach Tom Brady?

His rant tells one all they need to know about him.

He is not grateful at all for being elevated to such a level.

He is fun to watch, but I have my doubts he will make it big in the pros, aka Johnny Manziel.  Johnny Football dazzled us in college.

This is possibly the greatest thing that I have ever learned about professional football in general, and the Super Bowl specifically.

Best time to EVER buy a TV from Best Buy is the week after the Super Bowl. Go look for the open-box returns.

Chiefs out of the playoffs for the first time in 11 years, Mahomes out for the next 9-12 months, with an ACL tear

Did he jinx it with that State Farm Meaghan Trainor knee-brace commercial? (Left leg even!!) Take a look -

First time since 1998 that we haven't seen one of these guys in the playoffs.

Kelsey may retire this year, he's 36 and played this year like he was really old, so you won't see TS at many more football games

The NFL's Great Taylor Swift Experiment, with its constant booth-shots after every KC play, is winding down ... and how many new 12-16 year old teen girls did it permanently turn on to football?

None ... they were only there to see their pop idol, not the football ...

Prediction: she'll slide in as the "guest artist" at the halftime show with Bad Bunny, to save face for the league choosing Bad Bunny to begin with.

It'll probably be a wrong prediction, but I wouldn't be surprised if I were right.

Shedeur Sanders getting more Pro Bowl votes than Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and other top QBs
Sanders has played in just five games
By Jackson Thompson Fox News
Published December 16, 2025 4:46pm EST

Shedeur Sanders is currently 10th in Pro Bowl voting among quarterbacks.

Sanders has played in just five games for the 3-11 Cleveland Browns, throwing for five touchdowns with six interceptions, and just 946 total yards. He 1-3 as a starter.

The Pro Bowl players are determined by a vote of fans, coaches and fellow players, with each group's vote counting as one-third toward determining the selections. By these criteria, Sanders ranks ahead of established NFL superstar quarterbacks Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow and reigning Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts.  ...
Sanders' QBR is 16.9.
Yes, 16.9.

No matter anyway. Correct my previous statement to "college football" and it's still true.

Speaking of the NFL's survival Sunday...

The Jets set a rather embarrassing record today. They went an entire season without intercepting a single pass from the other team, something that has not happened since at least 1932. (And that's only because we have no records of interceptions from 1932 and prior, which wouldn't even have been as impressive given seasons were around 11 games long compared to 17 now.)

Pair that with the four fumble recoveries, and their four turnovers are also an NFL record low, the previous record being 7 set back in 2018 by the 49ers.

Yes, there were two NFL games on Sat., for some reason.
Speaking of mediocre football teams, the Steelers-Ravens game last night was ridiculous. Came down to Pgh missing an extra point, but it was okay, because Baltimore missed a field goal. The word hapless came to mind - and I'm a Stillers fan.

Had this made pre-season while in Dallas for my son's wedding.

The guy who made it did get the "the" in and it's off center.

That's kind of ironic considering the team's performance these past few decades.

Some of the ugliest football games are also some of the most fun. Case in point: the Division I championship (FCS) last night. A blocked extra point (the second blocked kick of the night after a field goal was blocked near the end of regulation) proved the difference as Montana State edged out Illinois State 35-34 in overtime.

If there's any conference that deserves a "rub in the face," it's the SEC. It's about time another conference caught up to them, and without ESPN money to boot.

Never mind that Indiana and Ohio State were the only undefeated teams left at the end of the regular season. The SEC got twice as many bids as the B1G. With four out of twelve of the bids, of course they were going to play each other. The only way to avoid that was to NOT invite Alabama.

I heard Jerruh Jones on the news this afternoon. He wants to retire as the coach that won the most Super Bowls.

I guess it could happen. But the Cboys haven't been to the SB since the 90's and he's in his 80's. Good luck, Jerruh.  :silly:

Never mind that Indiana and Ohio State were the only undefeated teams left at the end of the regular season. The SEC got twice as many bids as the B1G. With four out of twelve of the bids, of course they were going to play each other. The only way to avoid that was to NOT invite Alabama.
Go back and look once again at the brackets.

The SEC has played 2 teams against each other twice.

The Big10 has yet to do that.

And being undefeated means little when the other conference teams are weak.

Ohio State played a grand total of two ranked teams during its regular season.  Alabama played five.

Thanks for the suggestion, I watched the highlights of the game, it was great. I have got where I like that "Wheels" highlights over the ESPN versions. He does a better job.

The same rankings that were so obviously wrong (/sarc) when the two undefeateds were 1 and 2? Well, which is it? Judging by the fact that you apparently count Tennessee and Missouri, both of whom finished 8-5, as "ranked," that might not be a reliable metric.

Ohio State trounced Texas, a team with the same number of losses as Alabama. And Indiana beat Ohio State in the B1G title game. They played the hand they were given.

Trounced Texas?  What are you smoking?  OSU was held to only 2 tds, the lowest points by far for the regular season until they played Indiana.  And both of those were at home.

They also played Grambling at home and won 70-0.  Now that is a trouncing.

I would love to see Ole Miss win it all, just to rub it in Lane Kiffin's face.
Well, Ole Miss have it a shot.

No way I ever root for Miami (except to keep Ohio State out of play)so I am all-in for Indiana to win it all now.

I think they can get by Oregon tonight.

At first of season, I picked Oregon to win it all, but I like Indiana better.  They are due.
