NASA Uncovers Hidden Nuclear Facility Beneath Arctic Ice

NASA's mission to the Arctic uncovered something that wasn't supposed to exist. Beneath the ice lay what appears to be a long-forgotten nuclear facility. Now, questions are swirling about its origins and what else is hidden in the ice.

Yes that's how they keep warm, while European explorers perish in the cold, being terrified of new ideas and holding the rational belief that the Eskimos are doing the Devil's work.

The actually is a nuclear reactor under the ice in Greenland from a failed Army missile station in the 50s.

I wonder if this is that reactor? Turns out glacial ice does nasty things like moving and flowing (and fracturing) and does not do so evenly, which made the station impractical.

The Arctic is a separate geographical place from Greenland. There is no way that the former US Army base moved north to some Arctic ice flow. If anything however unlikely, it would calf off and fall into the North Atlantic as part of some iceberg; when the ice melted, it would fall to the sea floor.

Last time I checked, most of Greenland was still in the Arctic Circle.

Continental glaciers there (not alpine ones, there is a big difference) were believed to be stable enough to set up a base there.

Project Iceworm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Iceworm
included Camp Century: " The total number of inhabitants was approximately 200. From 1960 until 1963, the electric supply was provided by the world's first mobile/portable nuclear reactor, designated PM-2A and designed by Alco for the U.S. Army.[9]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ujx_pND9wg#t=1201

This was all well within the radius of the Arctic Circle, and thus, Arctic.

Obviously it is the point of entry into the alternate Earth where the Kaiju live.

Bob, look at the map. The blue circle is the Arctic Circle; Greenland (mostly covered by continental glaciers) is the big island at roughly 8 o'clock from the north pole. Check the Wiki link, and you will find that Camp Century was well inside the circle.
While right around the pole (Arctic Ocean) is sea ice, there is a lot of landmass inside the circle, notably parts of Greenland, Canada, Alaska, Scandanavia, and Russia. It's all (by definition) Arctic.
