Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver accused of plowing through a crowd during a "No Kings Day" protest in Los Angeles. The victim is expected to recover.

First of all it looks like she put herself in the path the moving car, and at the same time the crowd was moving towards the car, especially after she went under. After all the previous riots and ‘peaceful protests’ where drivers were beaten close to death, so I wouldn’t call it hit and run I would call the drivers leaving self preservation.

Yes, he was not a hit and run driver.  To have hit her and stopped would have likely caused his murder or severe injuries.
