Israel launches preemptive strike on Iranian nuclear sites, military targets

Warning sirens have been set off to get the public ready for potential Iranian counter attacks of ballistic missiles on Israel.

Iran has not yet fired ballistic missiles, but has thousands of them.

According to the IDF, Iran has enough uranium to weaponize it to nuclear levels, for 15 nuclear weapons within days.

In recent days, Iran developed a plan with Hezbollah and Hamas and other proxies to destroy the State of Israel, potentially including attempts to attack via all borders, including Egypt and Jordan.

This was the point of no return according to the IDF.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has entered the security cabinet.

We have launched Operation "Am K’Lavi" ("With the Might of a Lion") to target Iran’s nuclear program and the regime’s long-range missile capabilities. Dozens of military targets across various regions in Iran were struck as part of the opening salvo. These included military command centers, commanders, military facilities, headquarters, and nuclear sites.

The sirens that sounded across Israel were not due to missile fire, but rather to prepare the public for the possibility of incoming attacks.

We are preparing for an operation expected to last several days at minimum, including anticipated heavy barrages from the Iranians. Full coordination is taking place with the U.S. military. Our objective is not regime change in Iran, but rather to neutralize military infrastructure and nuclear sites.

The opening strike in Iran was highly surprising in both scope and the locations targeted — places the Iranians did not expect. By the end of the operation, there will be no nuclear threat.

Israel carries out attacks on Iran’s capital, Tehran: Reports

US officials tell news agencies that Israel has started attacking sites in Iran as blasts reported in Tehran.

Explosions have been reported northeast of Iran’s capital Tehran, according to the state-run news agency Nour News.

The Israeli Air Force has reportedly conducted a strike in Iran, the Axios news agency reports, citing two unnamed sources with knowledge of the operatioTwo unnamed US officials have also told the Reuters news agency that Israel has carried out an attack in Iran. The officials said Washington did not assist in the attack and declined to provide further details.

The Israeli military is yet to publicly confirm the attack. But in a post on X, the military announced that Israel’s civil and public security guidelines had been changed to “essential activity” as of 03:00 local time (00:00 GMT).

“The guidelines include: a ban on educational activities, gatherings, and workplaces, except for essential businesses,” it said.

Fox News' Trey Yingst reported that Israel carried out strikes in Iran, adding that explosions were heard in the capital of Tehnra.

A state of emergency has been declared across Israel as the country braces for an Iranian response.

The strikes came after Israel first threatened to go after Iran’s nuclear facilities in early November following a series of back-and-forth missile attacks between April and October last year.

Direct engagement between Israel and Iran began after Tehran in April 2024 levied its first ever direct strikes against Israeli territory. Israel responded less than a week later and destroyed part of Iran’s S-300 long-range air defense system.

Things are going hot.

Now we find out if Iran actually has a nuke or not.

They've been provoking both Israel and the US and this gives them the excuse they've been looking for if they do have one.

Let's pray they don't.
