Concerns over President Joe Biden’s declining cognitive abilities have increased scrutiny of the Democratic Party. The book Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, co-authored by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, claims that the Biden administration concealed Biden's cognitive and physical decline. The Democratic Party faces ongoing challenges, with approval ratings falling to just over 20% according to a Quinnipiac poll.
