The recent fallout between Elon Musk and Donald Trump provides a cautionary tale about the dangers of misplaced trust and the consequences when respect is thrown aside.

Access to the highest levels of government or industry isn’t given lightly. It reflects not just personal favor but a deep responsibility—the trust to represent and uphold certain values and relationships. However, when that access is abused or taken for granted, it can quickly lead to fractured bonds and damaging fallout.

The Republicans betrayed Elon.  He gambled everything to get Trump elected and made even more enemies with DOGE.  Perhaps it was worthwhile, because he proved Republicans have zero interest in avoiding a fiscal calamity.  Trump finally got his comeuppance also. 

If I were Elon I would sell X.  The valuation is back to $44 billion.
