Scott Jennings Shreds Tim Walz Over 2028 Aspirations: ‘Extreme Buffoonery”

CNN political analyst Scott Jennings provided a sharp, and hilarious critique of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz after a profanity-laced keynote address in South Carolina over the weekend.

Walz and Maryland Governor Wes Moore were the featured speakers at a Democratic Party event in the Palmetto State on Saturday. Walz — who has been speaking in a number of red and swing states ahead of a potential presidential bid in 2028 — referred to President Donald Trump as a “dictator” and urged Democrats to “get meaner” when pushing back on the administration’s policies.

“The thing that bothers a teacher more than anything is to watch a bully,” the governor said. “And when it’s a child you talk to them and you tell them why bullying is wrong. But when its an adult like Donald Trump, you bully the s–t out of him back.”

Jennings was unimpressed by the failed vice presidential candidate’s remarks during a panel discussion on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday.

“The other person who spoke in South Carolina, Tim Walz, is a special mixture of extreme buffoonery and a mean spirit, which is a toxic brew,” Jennings said. “He is not the future of the Democratic Party.”
