There's a school of thought

This school of thought goes on to postulate

You mean Your school of thought.   The pro Hamas Pali thought that has infected your brain.

You have a very bizarre point of view concerning Israel. I do not agree with a word of it, but it is unique in the sense that I have never heard anything like it before. Hamas and Netanyahu are in some kind of partnership to promote terrorism against Israel?

Points for originality ... that is way out there. Hamas has always been called terrorists since their beginning. They call themselves terrorists as does most of the world. Hamas being terrorists has nothing to do with Netanyahu and does not depend on his approval of the term. Hamas does not depend on Netanyahu to support them. They have Iran for that.

You would fit in nicely with Harvard and Columbia.

What in hell are you on about? The various UN agencies and even American NGO's funneling 'aid' into Gaza are known to our government to have been knowingly allowing Hamas to seize and resell the aid to fund terrorism against Israel.

 tipping hat!!

Edit: And let me make clear my overwhelming support for Israel!

Complete, total, and utter horseshit.

Israel controls life on the Gaza Strip --- through registering with Israel at birth,  by banning armaments and travel, restricting building, employment, electricity, clean water, health care and food.  When misbehaving means no clean water or loss of electricity privileges, when enough food is a rarity and medicine a miracle and when death is the only way out of your neighborhood --- you're living in an open air prison @bigheadfred

No.  There are other schools of different thought on the subject and I've shared those, too.  I post them for discussion purposes and because one of them will overtake the dismal and failed status quo @Wingnut   Accept or discard them as you choose.

You did no such thing.

I've told you before, I am not doing your research for you.  I meant it then and I mean it now.

I thought you said you wanted to have an 'honest' discussion?

Why @berdie , are the Palestinian leaders called "a group of terrorists"?

Because they are a group of terrorists.  (See:  Hamas)

Methinks the whole of the Middle East would have been better off if the Palestinians could have formed their own nation state in their own homeland ---

They had that in 1948.  But they gave it up because their hatred of the Jews was more important than having their own nation state in their homeland.

--- or if Israel had formally annexed the territory, with the people living in it.

Because they didn't want to be annexed by Israel.  They much preferred Arab occupation over getting along with the Jews.

Lastly, it's true the Arab world is not willing to help or take in the Palestinians.

And there's a good reason why.

This reaction is not new ---- the world witnessed a similar reaction when Western nations were not willing to help or take in Jewish Europeans in the 1930s and 1940s.

Uh, no.  Western actions to maintain existing immigration quotas (Jews and non-Jews alike) would not be to blame for Jordan's/Egypt's/Lebanon's/Iraq's/Iran's/Saudi Arabia's/Syria's decision not to allow any Palestinians into their country.

Ever heard of Black September?  Jordan allowed Palestinian refugees into their country up until the time they tried to overthrow the Jordanian government.  That was their red line.  And it happened well over a quarter century after your false Jewish European scenario.

I am also at the point of just filling the tunnels with the Pali's and cementing it shut. The whole Arab world would bemoan it publicly and sigh a welcome relief privately.

What are you babbling about?  Hamas has ALWAYS been a terrorist organization, just like FATAH, the PLO, the PFLP, Hezbollah, Black September, etc, etc...

Hamas Charter (1988)

Article 7

"The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.

Yes, they actually put it in writing.
