Harvard head apologises as scathing reports on campus prejudice released
 
Harvard University President Alan Garber has apologised following the release of internal reports which found antisemitic and anti-Muslim prejudice at America's oldest university.

The reports included testimony from students who described feeling alienated, and pressured to conceal their identity from their peers and educators.
 
In response to the findings, Harvard pledged to review its academic offerings and admissions policies - a key demand of the White House, which accuses the Ivy League institution of failure to stamp out campus antisemitism.

The Trump administration is planning to cancel all remaining federal contracts with Harvard University — a day after the president said he was pulling $3 billion in grants from the “very antisemitic” Ivy League school.

The fresh cuts — worth roughly $100 million — are detailed in a memo that will be fired off to all federal agencies early Tuesday, according to a copy of the letter obtained by The Post.

The letter, signed by the US General Services Administration, orders the agencies to start providing a list of contracts that will need to be canned.

President Trump is planning on yanking all federal funding from Harvard, according to a report. AP

It also instructs the agencies to “seek alternative vendors for future services where you had previously considered Harvard.”

The letter, in part, blames the move on Harvard’s inaction to crackdown on antisemitism on campus, as well as alleged “race discrimination” in its admission process. 

“In light of this deeply troubling pattern, each agency should consider its contracts with Harvard University and determine whether Harvard and its services efficiently promote the priorities of the agency,” the memo states.

Why would Harvard select a Chinese national affiliated with a CCP-backed NGO whose father is a high ranking official in that NGO that serves as a quasi-diplomatic agent for the CCP to give the school's commencement address this year?

A Trump administration inquiry has concluded that Harvard University knowingly violated the civil rights of Jewish and Israeli students, acting with “deliberate indifference” when it learned about what was happening.

The Wall Street Journal reported Monday:

In a letter sent to Harvard President Alan Garber on Monday and viewed by The Wall Street Journal, attorneys for the administration said the investigation found that Harvard knew Jewish and Israeli students felt threatened on its campus and acted with deliberate indifference.



A formal “notice of violation” of civil-rights law generally is a step that can come before either a lawsuit from the Justice Department or a voluntary resolution with the school. Under past presidential administrations, civil-rights investigations at universities usually ended with voluntary resolution agreements.




The letter to Harvard said the university failed to act for two years while Jewish and Israeli students were assaulted and spit on. As a result many concealed their identities for fear of being harassed. It also states that images of antisemitic tropes were widely circulated on campus, including one that “showed a dollar sign inside a Star of David,” and that the campus was vandalized with antisemitic symbols, including one with “an Israeli flag with a swastika in place of the Star of David.”

Since April, the Washington Free Beacon, a right-wing news site, has published a steady drumbeat of leaked documents from the Law Review’s article submission process, which the Free Beacon alleged documented discrimination against white and Asian authors. In the months since, three federal agencies — the Department of Health and Human Services, the Education Department, and the Justice Department — opened investigations into the allegations.

And then, on June 19, the Free Beacon dropped a bombshell: nearly 2,300 pages showing how the Law Review’s editors evaluated article submissions.

The Free Beacon claimed they had clear evidence that the Law Review’s editors used a racially conscious and ideologically discriminatory rubric. But many authors whose articles were discussed in the leak said they saw nothing to object to in the Law Review’s process — even as others agreed that the process considered race in pernicious ways. ...
